If your Rival attempts to play a Battlefield, you may use Alley Assault to discard it before it becomes active.
What does “Nullify that Normal Support’s effects” mean?
If a Normal Support is triggered by your Rival, Alley Assault cancels its effects entirely.
Can I use Alley Assault to respond to other types of Supports?
No. Alley Assault only responds to Normal Supports and not to Special Supports, Passive Supports, or Ally-based Support effects unless specifically tagged as Normal Support.
